Ski resorts
Jasná Low Tatras
JJasná is located on the Chopok’s north side and belongs to the one of the most popular and largest ski resorts in Slovakia. There are in total 32 kilometers of ski trails, 18 ski tows and 7 lifts. Most trails are snowed by a technical snow; the resort offers excellent conditions for skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, free ride and ski alpinism.
Ski Park Ružomberok
Ski Park Ružomberok is situated 1km from the town Ružomberok and it offers a rich sport enjoyment. There are 12 km of ski trails, 2 lifts and 6 ski tows.
Ski Resort Čertovica
Ski resort is located 26 km South from Liptovský Hrádok and offers 6km ski trails, 4 ski tows and 5km cross country trails.
Liptovský Ján - Javorovica
Resort is situated in the village Liptovský Ján 8 km from Liptovský Mikuláš city centre. At your disposition are 4 ski tows and 5 trails of different level. There are 20km long cross country trails.
Závažná Poruba - Opalisko
Opalisko is located 6km from Liptovský Mikuláš. There are 1 ski lift, 4 ski tows, 3 km ski trails and 27 km cross country trails.

The resort is located 5km from Liptovský Mikuláš city centre. At your disposition are 1 ski tow and 800m long ski trail.

Ski resort Žiarce is located close by Liptovská village Pavčina Lehota, at the entrance to the Demänovská valley. At your disposition are 2 ski tows and 1km ski trails.

You can find here 9 pools with healing thermal water and 2 Caribbean pools with clear water of 38o C for children. There are 28 switch backs and slides and many other attractions. Thermal Park Bešeňová
There are 6 pools ready, where the water is cooled down to meet the expectations of the bathers, to be comfortable and refreshing. Year round operation of the thermal pools in Bešeňová, allows the visitors to choose the time of their visit they wish.
Lúčky Spa
Year round open park, which includes outdoor recreational swimming pool with water temperature 28 °C - 33 °C, with various attractions. Covered swimming pool Liptovský Mikuláš
Covered swimming pool in Liptovský Mikuláš is opened round the year. There is 25m long swimming pool. Children’s pool is also available for your little ones.
Swimming pool Liptovský Ján
The water in the swimming pool has a demonstrable healing effect on: rheumatic diseases, diseases of female organs, skin diseases, musculoskeletal diseases. Spa is opened only during summer season.
Dam Liptovská Mara
Liptovská Mara was built from 1965 to 1975. The surface of the water reservoir is 22 km2 with a maximum depth of 43 m. Because of its size, it deserves the right adjective - Slovak or Liptovské sea. During the summer, we provide fishing boats rental and boat trips.
Caves
Demänovská cave of freedom
Located on the north side of Low Tatras in the Demänovská valley between Liptovský Mikuláš and popular ski resort Jasná. It features an incredible variety of colors and shapes, flowstone; there are unique sinter water lilies and other lake forms of sinter filling.
Demänovská ice cave
The entrance is located in the cliff on the northern side of the Low Tatras, just two kilometers north of the Demänovská cave of freedom. Ice filling is created during the last 500 years and in combination with sinter decoration, it creates extremely interesting sight circuit.
Važecká cave
Between Liptovský Mikuláš and Poprad there is Važecká Cave, which represents a significant paleontological locality of cave bear bones (Ursus spelaeus), which was bigger and heavier than today's brown bear whose maquette can be seen in the cave.

Culture and history
Liptov village museum in Pribylina
Liptov Village Museum in Pribylina is a branch exhibition of the Liptov Museum in Ružomberok. In 1991, its first part was opened to the public. Buildings from flooded areas Liptovská Mara dam, and some villages of upper and lower Liptov belong to it.
Svätý Kríž church
The wooden articular church in Svätý Kríž belongs to the largest wooden churches in Europe. It was transferred there during the construction of Liptovská Mara from 1974 to 1982 of the flooded village Paludza.
Janko Kráľ Museum

Liptov museum – National cultural heritage Čierny orol
The former inn, which foundation dates back to 17th, was last adjusted in 1880. In the past, there was a center of cultural life of the town Liptovský Mikuláš. In the porch of Čierny orol - Black Eagle, performances were held, organized by the Tatrín club and its leaders.
Liptov gallery of P. M. Bohúňa
Gallery was founded in 1955 and it is the third oldest one in Slovakia (after Bratislava and Košice ones). It is located in the historic and cultural center of the city in a pleasant park setting. The original building gallery dates to the late 18th century.
Celtic settlement Havránok
Havránok is one of the most important archaeological sites in Slovakia, which documents the presence of Celtic populations in Liptov in the 4th and 1st centuries BC. Archaeologists discovered and unearthed the remains of settlement from the younger Iron Age also referred to as Latene time.
